" WHAT A RIDE "

One day short of 4 months, 119 days and nearly 42,000km's on the road,  I rode my bike into Houston Texas to complete on of the most amazing rides I have ever done. To earn the Bragging Rights to say  " I've Joined the Few Who Can Say That They Have Ridden Tip To Tip 3 Continents On A Motor Cycle "
Prince Albert in the Karoo, South Africa  up the West Coast of Africa to Tangier's,  then Spain, Portugal, France and over the channel  to Kent England.
Kent England to John o Groat's and down to Lands End, and back to Kent.
Buenos Aires to Ushuaia (Cape Horn) up threw South, Central and North America,  the Yukon Territory to the Alaska Border and back down threw Colorado  to Houston Texas.
Seen beautiful sights and places, seen the Sun rise and Set over the Atacama Desert, had snow fall on me in the Yukon and Rocky  Mountains. Done the ride that many just Dream about, but I have been fortunate enough to have had the support of loved ones and good health to have the ridden on   "Best BMW Bike"  I think ever made.
Now all I have to do, other than just chill- out and relax, is waste a bit of time taking in the sights around Houston, travel to the coast "Gulf Of Mexico" and do a short ride from Galveston, along the coast towards Corpus Christi, before I board that plane for the long trek HOME.

Hi Lindsay,

Congratulations and well done. Would of loved to do part of the trip with you but another day another continent hopefully.

You have to admit though that the best part was still doing 1900 miles in three days through England with me :o)

Cheers
Dirk
