3rd May STILL BOULDER

OK,once again I am left with absolutely no choice but to respond to LIndsays last blog, and then hopefully we can we can continue with the true purpose of this blog site.
I had no intention of airing any dirty laundry and have been biting my tongue for a long ,long time now in the interests of not doing so on a public forum.
There was a virtual insistence from who was almost certainly the "administrator" of this blog that I respond to Stan's garbled comment.Well they got it and it's 100percent the truth!
I shall not bore our followers and shall therefore not go into detail regarding the unnecessary deletions which occurred without ANY consultation with myself (we were still together as a group and I simply noticed them).
For the record I shall just mention some key words re those harmless deleted sections.Furthermore my responses to them were likewise deleted:

-smelly bikers
-podgy peruvians
-my comments re the deletions
-glummer than usual
-various photos containing images of Josh
-penguins

As mentioned before (deleted though) I have no way of proving the above as they've disappeared.I had challenged the administrator at the time to put them back on ,word for word ,for them to judge whether they could in any way be considered malicious.
I've never been taken up on that challenge!

With respect to being left behind in Lima, under the most adverse circumstances I would repeat that I was in trouble behind the group and had no choice but to head north to reconnect once my bike recovered.
In that instance,by your own mouth ,the group waited for 40 minutes for me then proceeded into a city of 13m people (you took 3hours to get out of there when you left) ??.Your e mail expresses your views in that matter very clearly ,to the effect that it is up to the rider at the back to basically look after himself?
You are fully aware of the absolutely adverse conditions that day and I could quite easily have been lying in the street with a broken limb or bike or similar.
As it transpired my bike took over an hour to revert to a normal temperature (I'd filled up at altitude and thus had too low an octane fuel in the tank).

I was never even remotely upset in this instance and greeted you with a smile when I found you waiting for the others in rush hour traffic in a town en route.
In fact, quite out of character really,I endeavored always to simply accept any errors of judgement made by the group and any "blowouts" originated from the "triumvirate"

Now,in spite of the impression which has obviously been made to the followers (I have ignored them to date as they don't affect my life) and for the record, since you've mentioned it,I NEVER EVER rode off from the group!
When we finally split and for the edification of the readers who naturally must assume that this was the case here is the sequence of events on that day:

-After 4 days of riding with us Josh and Marco had a verbal dispute when Josh reminded him that there were four other members of the group who should have their say in when or where to stop. There had been numerous occasions where we had stopped to drink/eat at which point ,as was his style,he would express the fact that he was not hungry and would take off, with his tail behind him, closely followed by you.
This was a habit I'd become used to after 2 months (I lost 8 kg,fortunately I am now back to my chubby self)

-Once this spat was presumably over we rode off and at about 1pm Josh and I (who had been riding in front for once) stopped at an awesome view site restaurant to have a bite to eat.
The rest of the group arrived almost immediately and asked why we had stopped .We explained that we were going to have a bite to eat to which they responded negatively.

-Josh walked over to me and remarked that he could no longer accept the riding style of this group and I was about to dismount and at least get his details (wed been riding together as a group of "bikers" for 4 days!)when they simply sped off down the pass once more obviously expecting me to immediately scramble around with my gear , remount and scuttle after them after such boorish and rude behavior to a fellow biker (whose company by the way everyone seemed extremely happy with until he messed with the "triumvirate")

-That made up my mind there and then. This group would never ride off from me again

Josh and myself rode for 6 weeks with nothing even remotely resembling any dispute and there was NEVER a chance that we would lose each other on the highways or through the huge cities we landed up traversing (always at rush hour).
We have become good friends and comrades during this time and I believe that ,in spite of the age difference ,will remain so.

I trust that we can continue now to relate the rest of our travels?

Tony are you really so insecure that you constantly need to air your side of a story. I am sure your family loves you! The rest of us dont really care! But you are acting like a 10 year old!

You insisted that Tony respond to Stan's comment and now he has. I think YOU need to grow up.
The truth had to come out sooner than later.
I also won't bother to sign off. I know who you are and I am sure you know who I am.
So as the two riders on this trip have said. Please stay out of it and let them finish this without any more interference. Enough is Enough

Dankie. Veilig ry verder.

And therein lies the rub!
No one is obliged to read what i write.
It is very clearly indicated in the blog who the author is (there are only two at present).
Save yourself a lot of aggravation and simply don't read my postings!
SIMPLE.
