KETTLE FALLS SOUTH AND THEN WEST AGAIN
Got up early and checked outside to see if had stop snowing, well it had the rain had also subsided, pack-up and enjoy a most delightful breakfast, which did not cost $3 Headed off down the Kettle Valley which has a old railway line running along side the road I believe it started in Hope in Canada, a town I went through on my way North and again pasted by it on my return trip and is about 550km's long. Pasted lots of second-shops on the side of the road "William from the PA Country Store" would have a field day in this area, one store was called "The Porch " The other day I spoke about making up songs in your head as you ride along, well the latest is " Sunshine were are you, please shine your rays down on me" looking as well for any chance of seeing a blue sky.
Arrived at a T-junction in Spokane, left was on Highway 90 East and the weather looked very suspected and right was West to Vancouver and I saw maybe the look of sunshine, well I checked the GPS, a 6 hour ride on highway would take me straight to Vancouver, a city I really did not want to miss seeing, so here I'am in English Bay Vancouver. Rode into the most beautiful setting so far, crossed over the river, going North, then turn back and crossed over the river again, passing Stanley Park, saw an interesting looking street rode up it and found a white haired old lady pottering in your garden under a sign advertising suites and rooms by the night, inquired about a room, took me in and showed me a room on the second floor, my bike was locked away in the basement. It turns out I'am the one and only guest in the whole building, really an old kind of hotel, when I asked about wifi, she didn't really understand, so after a great walk around the bay and past the yacht basin. In the street I'm staying there are at least 5 cycle rental shops, people just love walking and cycling around the well marked and paved cycle paths and different walking lanes around the entire bay area. Found a great coffee shop to do my blogging from.
