AROUND THE KELOWNA AND OKANAGAN VALLEY

The Okanagan Valley is a rare stretch of land-desert, semi-arid in the northern half and fully arid in the hotter southern half and is a pristine location, rich in Canada's culture and history and is a preferred destination for visitors I'am told. The beauty and diversity of the this region offers opportunities for visitors to explore the rugged landscape, provides the prefect setting for world-class wineries, Little Straw, Rollingdale, Raven Ridge Cidery, Mission Hill,  just to name a few, fruit orchards, pine-fringed lakes, amazing golf courses and of course untold ski hills. Kelowna sits in the middle of the great Okanagan Lake with Vernon at the North and Penticton at the South end of this 110km natural wonder, were one can really enjoy loads of different water-sports during the warm periods June, July and August.
Great names of villages lay along the shores of Lake Okanagan, are Peachland, Summerland, Penticton, Naramata, Oliver,  Osoyoos and Vernon.
