STILL AROUND
Off the bike but still around, decided to make use of the Motel 7night special offer, If you stay on for a week you get a good reduced rate, so I've been enjoying the sights of Galveston Island and the Seawall beaches, great place to relax and chill-out.
Moody Mansion 32 rooms filled with opulent furnishings and heirlooms bought for "ten cents on the dollar" after the 1900 huge storm
Retired jack-up rig converted into a three-story museum
"Miss Michelle " Old Army Landing Craft "
Took a Tour with " Duck Tours " today, which takes you through the Historical District, The Strand area and then the "Duck" which is a old Army Landing Craft enters the water and then takes you around the waterfront docks called "Offats Bayou"
Entering the water
Moody Gardens and the 3 Glass Pyramids, 1 contains fascinating exhibits plus a 3-D Imax Theater, the next Rainforest home to birds, fish, butterflies and plants from Asia, Africa and South America, the last one is a Aquarium and is the largest of the three pyramids and boasts 1.5 million gallons of acquatic environments representing the oceans of the world.
Great vehicle for "Die Hel Trips "
I wonder what the "Historical Committee" would say if I put this on-top of the Windmill @ Dennehof
